"Lifestyle Change"

So I've been on a diet. Well... a "Lifestyle change" is what they tell me to call it.

I've been using Sparkpeople.com for the past two weeks to watch my calorie intake and to monitor my exercise. It is really convenient because 1) I am always on the internet and/or have my laptop with me and 2) it has most all foods by BRAND inputted into their system by other users so it is easy to just type in the name of my whatever and see the nutritional info.

So it is interesting because I am not really eating LESS than I used to, just healthier foods. More eggs, fruit, vegetables, and things of that sort instead of chips, burgers, taquitos and candy.

I have been eating about 1100 to 1200 calories a day, even though it wants me to eat 1200 to 1500. I simply am not hungry anymore at the end of the day because I feel full. I eat alot of low calorie foods. I don't think that going below my calorie intake is really a bad thing, if I am not starving myself... but when I am dieting or "changing my lifestyle" I don't want to eat just to get to that quota.

I have been tracking my workouts too. Four days a week I burn about 350 calories a day and walk for an hour... which adds up to about 450 in total. On the weekend I swam and did other stuff, but I don't plan to do anything... just try to stay active. I also have been doing alternating weight training routines of upper body and lower body machines. I am excited that after two weeks I have a set weight training plan, and I know exactly what I am going to do every day to target almost all of my muscles.

I've lost about 4 pounds I think... But every scale says different. Megan's scale at her house that I use to track my weight (and see it on a chart on sparkpeople.com) says I lost seven pounds, but the scale at the gym says I lost 3. I am not sure, so I just guessed 4 to sound sure. But I think I am at the beginning of the diet phase (lifestyle change phase) where I begin to lose water weight. I also lost an inch on my belly, which was probably due to being bloated or something.... haha.

Overall I feel fantastic. I really do feel better after working out alot. My muscle tone in my arms and legs are coming back because I have the Thompson gene of very nice muscle mass like my mama. Its easy for me to work out for a short time and look like I've gained muscle that would take months to gain. Emotionally I feel pretty stable too, no sudden freakouts or hysteria, which let's be honest they happen every once in a while. I sleep better and have more energy, and that alone is priceless because I am trying to go to school.

So yeah... I was bored and wanted to post something. Thats all.
