So Jon said that he was going upstairs to write his blog. I, on the other hand, felt like watching TV. But I also felt like writing a blog. So I whipped out his laptop and decided to kill two birds with one stone and do both.
*I would like to make it clear that I would never kill a bird. Esp. not with a stone. I could never aim that good.
I would just like to say that it's been a pretty damn good weekend. Friday night was Chrissy's little Bachelorette Party at the Westin Hotel- if you really want to call it a bachelorette Party- there were only 5 of us- plus Chrissy's mom. But it was good. The hotel was way nice. I want to stay there some time. (hint- Jon). I t was a pretty early night- but that was okay because, little did I know, Saturday would be a very long day.
So I guess this brings us to Saturday...Chrissy's wedding. And that's literally the only thing I dealt with thay day. Even though the ceremony wasn't until 5:30- I was with Chrissy all day. Did her hair and makeup, then went to the venue- some Historical Society museum or something. The place was actually pretty nice. I think the ceremony and reception went well. I was incredily appreciative of the open bar. Speaking of the open bar- weird event of the evening...
The bartender at the wedding is Wendy 2's husband! Remember Wendy 2? She lived with me- total party girl. I haven't spoken to her since the beginning of 2005. Anyhow- I guess she's married now and has "calmed down" a lot. So anyway- her husband gave me her number and I drunkenly texted her that night. We've been texting today and I guess we're now going to meet up this Friday night at Rula Bula. What a weird crazy turn of events. Wendy 2 was one of those people that I truly thought I would never cross paths with again. Now don't get me wrong- it's not as if Wendy and I had some sort of altercation or anything like that. It was simply a situation where we slowly drifted apart- and then didn't speak ever again- until now.
So needless to say, I'm curious to see how things are going to turn out.
As for the today part of my weekend... It's been good. Jon and I woke up and we washed our cars. Then we took showers then went to the grocery store. Later on I stayed home and watched TV while Jon went to Best Buy and got some DVDs for All Hallows (eve). After he got home we started preparing for dinner- which was incredibly tasty and we're thinking about serving it for my birthday dinneer. During dinner we watched Return of the Living Dead which is a fucked up but funny horror movie. If you haven't seen it yet- don't worry. You probably will at the Halloween Party.
And now? Well- I just got done deleting all the old rerun Monk and Psych episodes from the DVR that I have already seen. It turned out that I've seen them all. I was kind of disappointed because I wanted to watch one of those shows (as I often do). So right now I'm watching an Office re-run and I'm thinking about putting on Columbo (which I have on DVD)- because I quite fancy him and I'm wanting to watch a mystery night now.
Columbo is so smart.
So is Monk.
I'm hungry again.
