Russia took his time examining the clownfish patterned on the swimming trunks. "Thank you," he said, looking up. "It is very colorful. I will wear it often."

Ukraine gave him an anxious smile. "It's for the beach."

"The beach?"

"Yes." She gestured, not without self-consciousness, at her flower-print one-piece. "Our usual clothes would be too heavy, you see. We should wear beach clothes."

Russia smiled back then, understanding. "Ah, I see. Don't worry, my sister! I am accustomed to these clothes. They will not be too heavy. You are very pretty in your beach clothes," he added.

"...thank you," Ukraine said helplessly.

The other vacationers stared, of course. Six feet of broadly-built man is hard to miss, even when not clad in full winter attire.
