This is unexpected news
Police reported that 3 wolves escaped their enclosures from a wildlife refuge in the County abutting the Anacortes Community Forest Lands (ACFL) this morning, October 19. All ACFL trails are closed temporarily until the City has confirmed that the wolves have been recaptured. Please contact 911 immediately if you have any information. The City will provide notice when the forestlands have been reopened.
