Shopping List
1 tablespoon almond oil
200 milliliters (.85 cups) refrigerator-chilled Rice Dream organic vanilla rice milk plus 1 cup plus 3/4 cup, separated
1/2 cup Woodstock organic frozen mixed berries (Do not thaw.)
1/4 cup light organic agave nectar
3/4 cup 365 organic orange juice (not from concentrate and with added vitamin D)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Prep
Clean off workspace on counter. Place kitchen towel folded in half so long side matches long side of counter. Place a folded paper towel on top of that, in case there are spills. Prepare the blade attachment of the Mealthy immersion blender for use. Set Mealthy immersion blender on prepared workspace and affix with blade attachment. Set the Mealthy immersion blender cup in the center of the workspace, on the towels. Put 1 tablespoon almond oil in blender cup and use vanilla Rice Dream to fill to 200 milliliter-mark on Mealthy blender cup (just below one ounce mark). If you just opened a new container of rice milk, it is a good idea to pour it while holding the blender cup over the sink, to avoid splashes and spills. Add 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries, followed by 1/4 cup agave nectar. Add 3/4 cup orange juice and 3/4 cup vanilla Rice Cream.

While holding the cup in your non-dominate hand, pulse immersion blender in cup using 1/2 second blasts until smooth and frothy. If you pulse any longer than 1 second, the blender will be pulled all the way down to the bottom of the cup, causing your smoothie to spill all over, possibly staining your towel. Once smooth, add an additional cup rice milk. Blend, as before. Rinse off blade attachment before drinking smoothie.

Chef's Debriefing
Enjoy smoothie immediately for best flavor and consistency. This is a modern take on the classic, Orange Julius. I think it is delicious.
