…After The Phantoms Of Your Former Life
Lestat looks like an Eccles cake that has been left in the window too long. Louis is in thrall to Lestat and doesn’t care about murdering people. Louis is angry and bitter. This is all drearily familiar and without merit. Lestat’s endless pursuit of Louis is bizarre. Daniel makes dark observations. It is deeply frustrating how dumb Louis is and how Daniel ignores the enormity of the situation. Louis acted execrably. This is not intriguing. One does not care about Louis’ petty feuds and his smugness.
Lestat expected exclusive and undivided loyalty. There is no moral clarity. Louis has absolute belief in himself. Louis and Lestat were nefarious allies and apex predators. They ignored the desperate pleas of their victims. Things should get interesting but instead become tedious. Daniel is mercilessly intrusive. Lestat can get very volatile very fast. There is so much talking and navel gazing. Daniel is rightly horrified by it all. Louis did horrendous acts and whines. Louis is cold and distant. Lestat was inherently negative and was a corrupting influence. The endless banality of it all. Louis did terrible actions. Lestat had dark intentions. Louis is deeply nasty. No sense of dread descends.
Best Lines:
“Did you eat the baby?”
“Nursing my complicity.”
Is My Very Nature That Of A Devil

Watching this is a daunting task. Louis’ life was fraught with difficulties and tumultuous. Louis fancies himself as erudite. Louis and Lestat caused utter fear and dread. He did measurable damage and triggered the wildest fears.
Louis is an unreliable narrator and trust will be strained. Daniel is not deadly scared. Louis talks with not much feeling about being involved with Lestat. This is tortuous. Lestat wants aggro. This Is Gus
What is this crap? The LOT invade a sitcom. There is inaction. There is untold misery and recalcitrant attitudes.

Roberto!
Nothing about the reboot appeals. Sam is a ‘Geraldo’ knockoff in 1982. Dumb bimbos surround him. No.
The Boogieman
Sam leaps into Mr Rey in 1964 and encounters a kid named Stevie King. There is a guest turn by Donald Hotton spewing belligerent rhetoric. An intractable cop looms. Sam is never right. There is an unexpected sensation. This was preposterous and vengefully mediocre. Sam has never known discipline. People die. Sam is inept and useless. Satan shows up. Was Satan connected to the evil leapers? Why does a 60s horror writer have a brazen harlot fiancée and hang out with a teen Stevie King?
Satan correctly predicts Sam will never leap home. There is disjunction. Sam is entirely uninterested in the fact Satan showed up. It was all a dream or was it? So much for Sam’s extreme rationality. This causes no immense satisfaction. Sam fretted. Local miserablists get to live. This has a couple of points of mild interest like Stevie King and his dog Cujo. Kitchen knives flew across the room in the movie version of ‘Carrie’ not the book. Sam is not emotionally fraught after encountering Satan but he is at encountering the young rightly legendary Stephen King.
Best Lines:
“Enough gopher guts.”
“Skull Party.”
“What’s time to old scratch?”
“You want no part of his business.”
“You called me a demented psychopath?
“Hurt as in dead?”
“Stevie?”

A Spy Among Friends 1x02
The Admiral’s Glass
Philby’s wife bore the impact. Elliott is questioned about Philby. This is a work of imagination. Philby stubbed out a cigarette butt into a boiled egg. Philby killed a defector who knew about him. There are flashbacks and a drumbeat of bad news. Philby did catastrophic harm. There is aggressive energy. None of Philby’s excuses are entertained. This is so effortful. Nobody is earnest in their regret. There is no effective involvement. Ian Fleming shows up. These people need to touch grass. Philby would die disillusioned. Philby had many wives whom he subjected to ill treatment. Philby arrives in the desolate plains of the USSR. He is horrendous and given to chaotic whimsy and polemical ranting. Everyone is utterly devoid of self criticism.
Best Lines:
“Profoundly offended.”
“Try to do to you.”
“Be quiet you horrid little dog.”
“Spare us the loyal friend act.”
“No one else I trust to ask.”
“Some friend she turned out to be.”

Savior Complex 1x03
Reap What You Sow
Bach who believed she was heaven-sent is judged by the woke laptop classes. The woke mean girls do not do a considered exploration. Bach has 2 adopted children. The woke lot have unquestioned devotion to their absolute certainty. Cue malign consequences and traumatising effects. Nothing fresh or insightful is presented. The woke lot have an all consuming hunger for attention. There was a ridiculous court case. There is sneaky menace and disbelief remains manifest. The woke fools open a coffee shop/library in Uganda for insta photos. One of the woke bimbo brigade was cancelled for stealing and lying and being trash. No.

“Unthinkable harm and damage.”

Westworld 3x05&3x06
Genre
Some rando babbles about horrific circumstance. This show is so far up its own ass. Dolores wants her immediate and terrible revenge. It was obvious from day 1 it would end badly. This is rotten and tat filled. Arrogant poshos have malevolent hearts but not enough paranoid anxiety. A rando is preachy and unsettling. Crap is unavoidable. This is loaded with artifice and unreality. The plot detours and dropped storylines are particularly strange. There is social cowardice and deep mistrust. Why am I meant to care about Caleb and Serac? Rando babble in underlit rooms. I’ve no idea what is going on. Serac gets backstory. Dolores fires a gun. This wanted to be historic.
Best Lines:
“Uniquely brilliant.”
“Created a god.”
“The rats were awful!”
Decoherence
Maeve is obsessed with her fake kid to the point of psychopathy. There is no horrified fascination. This was made by incompetent idiots. William is in the loony bin facing reprimands. This is struggling to remain relevant. This is not rivetingly toxic. Everyone is scheming and morally dubious. William has an all-consuming obsession. Season 3 is a tonal rut. The growing strain is evident. There is civil insurrection and dangerous repercussions. This is abysmal. William is overtly hostile and disparaging. William = moral collapse. He has such utter certainty that he is right. TPTB think they have made such meaningful work. William has all-consuming rage. William has no grief for Emily. William has grievance mechanisms. TPTB do a hagiography depiction of Dolores as they engineer her achievements.
William’s resentment boils and fuels bitterness. Anything that was bad was blamed upon hosts. William myth makes. There are stark social consequences. This is futile. Nobody is in huge danger. This was spectacularly bad. William is contented in his crapulence. Charlotte, her ex and son mutter. Charlotte and her plot bore. I’ve no idea what Dolores wants. We get more William flashbacks- oh ffs. William talks to himself. William is violent. After Serac tells her that Dolores intends her to be expendable, Charlotte fights her way out of Delos's corporate headquarters. Charlotte activates the riot control bot and escapes while the robot goes on a rampage through Delos HQ. Charlotte also destroys Hector. As Charlotte and her family escape in a car to flee the city, Serac has a bomb planted in the vehicle which explodes, badly burning Charlotte and killing her ex and son.
Best Line:
“Build our new world.”

The Six Million Dollar Man 3x12
Clark Templeton O’Flaherty
Guest stars Lou Gossett aka Louis Gossett Jr. Yet another guest star is inextricably linked to Steve. DNF. This show fails to deliver on either action or emotion.
