Young Guns (1988)

An alarmingly awful brat pack movie. People in the old west are in cahoots against others. This opens with the stars staring intently into the camera. This is loud, brash and full of macho posturing and violent gun battles. Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen, Lou Diamond Phillips, Dermot Mulroney, Terence Stamp and Jack Palance star.

Definition Please (2021)

A former spelling bee champion is reunited with her estranged brother. There is chagrin and the whiny brother deepens the abyss between him and his family. The brother is a man baby. There are confrontations and recklessness and warped logic. The mother deals with her man baby son. This was not genuinely interesting. The son is contemptuous and critical. The plot causes incredulity. Who could love him? This has no lasting impact.

Best Lines:

“Faking being on your death bed.”

“Some stranger just took your place.”
