You Can't Bury The Past
Sofia betrayed Javier for Raul but now she is back with Javier. There are growing distress and distress. Luis is dead. I'm confused. There is distress and no safe haven. Javier was in hospital. 2 months have passed since season 1. There is no safety from danger just obvious dubbing. There are tensions and unbearbale stress.
Raul has caused a trail of destruction. This has lost all credibility. Bullies affected Luis' life so badly and left him unable to exist. There is anxiety and fear and abnormal pressure and useless teachers. There is clearly unacceptable behaviour. People need to make better choices.
There is a teen pregnancy. Sofia and her mom are evicted and their stuff is tossed into the street. One does not delight in this spectacle. There is a botched response and errors. Sofia's not trusted. There are inconsistent things going on and one is not compelled to care. 2 idiots get pizza and somehow end up buried alive. How does Sofia know how long someone can survive in a cakset?
This was not interesting enough. Something is seriously wrong. There are disingenuous types and this was not compelling. There is hubris and violence and this was not audacious. People are cavalier and gratutious and precarious. There is no unfettered joy.
This was murky looking. There is no empathic approach. There is a terrible crisis. There is no covid. Why is 'you shouldn't have let him out' carved on the box the 2 idiots were buried alive in? Why does nobody go to the police about the double attempted murder?!? There is toxicity and vitriol and this was not adequate. Raul smacks Javier with a shovel. Raul is a psycho riding around on his 'macho' bike.
Best Lines:
“It feels elegant.”
“May I come in?”
“You're already in.”
“Since when are they friends?”
“He had to die to be popular.”
“Apologies are worthless now.”
“Left me alone.”
“Good girls don't do that.”
“Someone's watching us.”
The Return
A student is found tied up in her underwear. Nobody calls the police. Why was she in her underwear? Sofia and her mom are living with her principle. There is an attack on the school. Someone has unreasoning fanaticism and is terrifyingly hostile. The thief thieves. This does not confound expectations.
There is ugly discourse by tetchy people. There is division and dysfunction. This was relatively innocuous. This was genuinely awful, absurd and trivial. Raul is colluding, again. There are unlawful actions. Raul committed aggressive acts. There is no competence or coherence.
There are relentless attacks. Who wrote 'feel my hell' on the tied up girl? Who is doing the unthinkable things? There is a total refusal to engage with logic. Raul is offensive. This was not meaningful. People laugh at tied up girl. People talk about an Avenger. Raul comes back to school and people throw food at him.
Why is Raul at school? Why isn't he arrested? People are unequivocal about their hatred of Raul. His parents are in jail. There is a resurgence of violence. Raul is arrogant. This was not meaningful. Raul did repulsive and unlawful things.
Raul gets beat up. The thief tries to defend him. Sofia kicks cars. This was calamitous and woeful. Raul stalks Sofia. This was not an achievement. People are cagey. There is no righteousness. There are damaging mistakes. This was inept. There are lapses in judgment. No one is held accountable. The wanted killer is being hidden by Raul.
How is Raul paying for his big fancy house? Sofia fails miserably. People are uniquely hostile to Raul. There is deep seated hostility. There is antipathy. People misbehave. Raul has arrogance. Who is championing the ignored, unheard and dead Luis? This was a lost opportunity. Raul is wholly indefensible. Raul has no shame.
What is this show for? Who is it for? Javier is aggrieved. There is no moral monopoly. This was irrelevant. This was not deeply moving. The thief's blackmail and befriending attempts fail. This was negligible. There is no coherent moral case. Haughty fits are thrown. Raul has garnered a reputation. There is righteous indignation and no dignity or purpose.
There is irresponsibility. Things are discombobulating. Luis' mom's house is burnt down. There is misery. This was unremarkable. Raul is unyielding. This was useless and unprepossessing. Nobody is charismatically awful. Sofia's mother has her death faking husband arrested. This was a shambles full of absurdities. There are negative developments.
Best Lines:
“You're a psychopath Raul.”
“What were your intentions?”
“You're f**king crazier than I ever imagined.”
“I know exactly what you're capable of.”
“That lunatic is you.”
“In the closet again?”
“Thug life.”
“The worst of all this.”
“Strict established schedule.”
Needs
This season is an absolute failure. A party is planned. Gerry whines. The principle is fired, finally. Raul blackmails the new principle too, FFS. The word Avenger is used unironically. This was useless. Javier and Sofia coo over a wall of crazy. This was horrendous. There is dreadful misfortune. Raul and Gerry fight. This was grubby and it has imagine spots.

The Equalizer
This remake of the 80s show sees Robyn McCall (Queen Latifah) help a teenage girl accused of murder. McCall is an enigmatic former CIA operative and she busts open an elaborate frame job. A cop wonders about her. Chris Noth plays William Bishop a friend of hers. Adam Goldberg and Lorraine Toussaint co star. There is no covid.
There is a lair under a bar and a big computer screen. There is a deepfake video and random evil dudes. There is talk of a secret club and a code. People feed on desperation. William Bishop has a private security firm. Lethal men wanted for war crimes lurk and plot. An Elon Musk like baddie wants his driverless cars to be bought. The murder suspect is an idiot. 'Person Of Interest' is knocked off.
The murder suspect has inspidity and no hope of rescue. There is no future that was not a living death and wretchedness. But McCall saves her. McCall's aunt and daughter cause issues. McCall's past is deliberately mysterious. The original does not endure in the imagination. There are no sociable moods and deceptive people. This was okay and McCall saves the day.
Best Lines:
“Spare you her teenage angst.”
“Trouble's my speciality.”
“Fascism's on the rise.”
“Fancy firm lawyer.”
“Something very, very bad.”
“No deepfake software on the market that good that fast.”
“Blow up me and a building just to cover it up.”
“When your ex-wife wanted to do that, ugh, screw you trip to cancun with her new boyfriend? Who put her on a no fly list?”
“Want her gone.”
“Bad guy speech.”

The Killabustas
Bright isn't called to a crime scene. There are callous suggestions. What is the point of Gil or Jessica this season? A performative killer on the loose. Psycho dad is not contrite. Catherine Zeta Jones and her filler filled face wants to be the Harley Quinn to psycho dad's Joker. Some psycho is hunted by websleuths. There is a reference to the Golden State Killer. Psycho dad daydreams about Catherine Zeta Jones. This was miserable. This was horrendous. Psycho dad has formed an intent to cause serious harm. Catherine Zeta Jones is nuts. What's happened in the family? The psycho du jour is caught. Bright's crazy.
Best Lines:
“Trauma's my middle name! Ok, that came out worse than I meant.”
“Killer went full 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre'.”
“Budding homicidal psychopath.”
“Deeper urges.”
“I don't want your sympathy.”
“My super close friends! From online!”
“Psychosis, if I'm lucky.”
“Seriously twisted mind.”
"That's not good either.”
“Reek of sin.”
“This is the fridge of a very sad person.”
