I have a problem with Bob Geldof

Bob Geldof is not someone you would think of often. But twice in the past week I have been reminded of his obnoxious existence. At first I was only annoyed by him by virtue of the fact that that damned song "I don't like Mondays" replays in my head for days if I hear it. Later I learned that he wormed his way into the lead role in the movie version of The Wall. One of my fave movies and I figured he must be great friends with Pink Floyd. But no, he got on their nerves too. The major reason I really loathe Geldof is of course the cruelty he demonstrated toward the late Michael Hutchence, that drop- dead sexy deviant. This was all brought up when vh1 played their INXS episode of Behind the Music.
"Saint Bob" as many mockingly refer to him, is unforgivable in the above matter.
A lesser complaint is that he seems to have rudely insulted Russell Brand, another sexpot. Just what does B.G. have against sexy, long haired rocker type guys? Oh yeah, he fancies he WAS one. Boomtown Rats? Nah. I don't think so. His rockstardom exists mostly in his own head. Possible evidence for this lies in the fact that he was just on vh1 One Hit Wonders of the 80's. Perhaps I should steer clear of vh1 for a while.
I have enjoyed this opportunity to ramble about something not at all important. This is the cyber equivalent of standing in the park like a crazy person shouting about what bugs you. I wish I could stand in my town square and spout off about Bob Geldof but few if any in this town would recognize the name. Not a hip village. oh and lastly a joke for hipsters.
Q: How many hipsters does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Well, it's a pretty obscure number; you've probably never heard of it.

what's annoying me today, rock, rant
