Odd observation
I just found some music from Pinzgau in iTunes. Mom never taught me her dialect and it really sounds different from high German. The odd thing is it doesn't sound fast to me and I can hear the breaks between words. For any other languages, that I don't speak, everything sounds very fast and all run together. Just sort of surprised me.
