Pictures, as promised. So the full story about the bike thing is that last week the day after I did a 10 mile ride my bike is sitting in the driveway, and I hear this gunshot type noise from my bedroom. One of the tires had exploded, due to it being really old.. Like, actually exploded, the inner tube popped and blew a chunk out of the actual tire. So I tried to think of what components actually worked correctly on it, or were reliable... and I couldn't think of any besides the handlebars. Bent rim, fucked up derailleurs, crappy brakes even after me replacing and adjusting them.... Soooo my dad decided to actually buy me a new bike. I guess he didn't want some various part breaking when I'm going 30mph down a hill 10 miles from our house.
Rest of this in cut..
The classic handlebar shot... this trail is really cool, they made it by paving over an unused railroad line, so it's really long and goes through forests and such. It would be a cool thing to do with some of the unused railroads around Chehalis, if that ever happens.... Considering they don't even put bike lanes on major roads here....
Oh, and I had to pee so I thought it'd be a good idea to hop down this unexpectedly steep ravine into the forest, and did the Capt. Jack Sparrow run cursing the entire time because of the stinging nettles that still slightly itch.
Better view of the bike. It's a hybrid.. it'll look a little meaner if I drop the handlebars, but it is waaay more comfortable than a pure road bike, even if its a bit slower and not as intense looking.
And a crappy picture of me.
