Really, though, I just tease the ADPhis, you know? I talked about this with Sarah the last time I was around. The more tasteful ADPhi's get it. Or, as they say in Vivre Sa Vie: Insult her; if she's a tramp, she'll get insulted; if she's a lady, she'll laugh.
Even if they still think Tennyson is the end-all and be-all of poetry. Ugh.
I was shocked when Lorraine responded to my nasty poetic rant about the lameness of ADPhi by adding me to her friends list. She always seemed extremely boring and conservative in person, and she managed to hook up with most of the Zetes who I have major personal issues with---sociopathic geeks with little taste and no appreciation for literature. If not for livejournal, I would dislike her. (A bit of irony: last time she and I actually spoke I was on ecstasy---but bad, fake ecstasy---and she said she wanted some dance music---which I managed to get on---but I was just too fucking out of it. The e turned out to be more like acid or something.) But she seems surprisingly interesting, beneath that tell-tale ADPhi veneer of lameness. Anyway, she needs to hear me do traditional British poetry sometime, because that's my specialty.
