Ashlee Simpson does not write or sing music.
She sings shit.
Case in point: Listening to the opening of her SINGLE, "Pieces of Me". Now listen to the opening of Incubus' song Drive. She blatantly steals the rif. *stabs her* *she's dead*
Her song "Unreachable" sounds a LOT like Aguilera's "Beautiful". Her song "Shadow" sounds even MORE like Aguilera's "Beautiful". Infact, she even says Beautiful in it. She says Beautiful in both.
In an argument with someone, they tried to tell me that "music can't be bad, that's just somebody's opinion"
The day that we pay money to listen to, and see performed, music by artists that can't play any instrument, that need people assisting (I use the word loosely) on EVERY song, that have truly unremarkable voices (if not subjectively, then in the context of range and dynamics), and that blatantly steal other people's music, there is nothing left for actual music. Oh wait, that's been happening.
My appreciation goes out to John Shanks and Jordan Schur, the producers. They managed to take nothing and turn it into one of the most popular CDs of the summer. Now THAT is business.
