Right, so. Since my laptop says it's past 1:00AM (I'm betting it's wrong but I don't want to get up to check, and there was already a pretty much landslide win anyways), the poll is now closed, thank you♥ to everyone who voted.
With a majority vote of 87.5%, voters have decided to discontinue allowing offsite links in the community, so it has now become one of the rule/guild lines located handily in the user info.
It is as follows:

↳ As in, please do not just have an image or a few sentences and redirect members to an offsite blog or website to see the rest of the post. Please post it here instead. You may link back to the original post on your site, but you should have the entire article/translation/etc in the community post itself as well.
On a slightly related note, dear Anon in the poll post has asked about a layout change, but because I don't have any graphics programs on my laptop I'm currently using, and knockdown's busy with work and school, neither of us have the time to make a super cool awesome new layout for the comm. The current layout is serviceable for the time being, but it's majorly out of date :( Instead of a layout contest (since we probably wouldn't be able to scrape together a prize other than "HEY WE'RE USING YOUR LAYOUT YAAAAY." and a little note in the user info :x Which we'd end up doing regardless), if anyone would like to donate a layout that would be great. Wow that was run on sentences for days. ANYWAYS.
If you'd like to donate a layout, comment here, or message me and we'll work something out. If there's more than one layout option we'll have yet another poll (the logical solution to these dilemmas!).
