Graduated this morning! Got hooded yesterday (i.e. doctoral degree is conferred by your advisor placing a hood over your head, it's a small and sweet ceremony) then commencement was today. Officially graduated, yay me!
Of course I still have work to do, FML. More on that later since it's fucking depressing.
To celebrate I dragged my parents out to see Avengers again. :D Verdict: still awesome.
I love taking my parents to movies because they are so weird. My mom's impressions:
Tony: her favorite. She liked him and she liked when he took his armor off. I said Don't we all.
Steve: "kind of a prig."
Hawkeye: "very cute."
Black Widow: "eh, just like Tomb Raider and every girl in these kinds of movies." I attempted to explain how wrong she was but not dice.
Thor: boring and kind of stupid
Bruce: too much of a woobie. She did several impressions of Frodo in Return of the King ("ooooh Sam the ring is so heavyyyy D:")
Overall she liked the movie until she fell asleep during the first Hulk transformation. That's actually good, usually she's asleep by the end of the opening scene.
Dad stayed awake and really enjoyed it. Tony was far and away his favorite. However he didn't realize Bruce was the Hulk until halfway through, because I forgot to tell him. Whoops. He did like Loki a lot, but he also thought Cap was kind of a prig.
I love my parents. :D
