Wow, over a month since I last updated. I'm so terrible. I keep MEANING to but thinking that I should have something worthwhile to post first. I don't know. I don't even know how many other people READ this thing, but that's not important anyway. This is my record of my year abroad, so therefore I should keep it up-to-date to jog my memory in my failing years. Or something.
I've been keeping busy with work - working 6 days a week, gets a bit tiring! - and going to shows. Home internet has disappeared from our grasp, but there are plenty of 24-hour coffee shops with free internet that I can walk to. Also I have the superphone now! Maximum awesome.
Next week is Lollapalooza!!!! I'm so excited! V. sad that Mimi couldn't come but glad I bullied Janna into accompanying me. No-pants party at Cage The Elephant! Lou Reed! Yeah Yeah Yeahs! Dan Auerbach!! SO MUCH AWESOME, SO LITTLE TIME. SO SO EXCITED OH MY GOD. Speaking of bands and awesome, Janna and I have become official mascots (or something) for this super fun local dance-punk-spaz band called Fake Shark- Real Zombie!. So far we've been to four shows and ended up without shirts every time, which I think they sort of approve of. Awesome good times. They have another show after I get back from Lolla, and then Cage The Elephant are here two nights in a row. Busy busy busy!
Still miss my people back home, but I always miss people somewhere. Bit sad that I haven't heard from a lot of them since I left. Oh well. I guess that's the way it goes. Still, I want gossip damnit!! Email me!!
