first of all, let me preface this by saying that there's a possibility i might be arrested for this post. for, you know, actually having an opinion. the government will probably pin it on isa or something, idk. so SOMEONE OUT THERE, ANYONE, IF YOU LOVE ME, SCREENCAP THE SHIT OUT OF THIS AND WHEN I DIE HAVE IT ENCARVED ON MY HEADSTONE.

that said--i am, quite possibly, THE LAST PERSON ON THE PLANET WHO SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT POLITICS. i'm in a privileged enough group that the new ones never affect me too much, i don't read the newspapers, and to be honest, i don't really give a fuck.
so, surprise surprise, I AM NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT POLITICS. because when you can have an entire fucking debate about the upcoming general elections WITHOUT THE POLITICS OF EITHER PARTY BEING BROUGHT UP EVEN ONCE, i gotta say, guys

i honestly do not care who wins. they basically created an ENTIRE NEW BOUNDARY to encompass the people in my estate and NOBODY NOTICED, so clearly it's not like my ministers have been doing anything to improve conditions around here since the last time my area was contested (which was, oh, idk, 1988?) so yeah. i'm on neutral ground. i don't care.
what i DO care about is making an informed decision. and because i know i don't have enough time, energy or fucks to give towards doing that, I AM CHOOSING TO FORFEIT MAKING ONE. maybe it's lazy, maybe in the grand scheme of things i should want to have a voice, but you know what's MORE IMPORTANT TO ME THAN THAT? NOT STIRRING SHIT UP JUST FOR THE SAKE OF BEING HEARD.
the worst part about all of this is how SWEPT UP people have become in the opposition parties. like i said, NOTHING AGAINST THEM, but the pap have been in power for, like, ever. if the best shtick they can come up with is mudslinging and throwing stones at the opposition, then you know what? that's THEIR PREROGATIVE. they know their shit, and they have the track record to prove it.

NOT LIKE THIS. maybe in the next elections, when they come prepared with ACTUAL solutions instead of slander, with contestants that ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE and HAVE EXPERIENCE and KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THEY ARE DOING / TALKING ABOUT.
