okay, in my last entry, i asked for top five prompts, and, because you guys are awesome, i got a whole bunch of them that i'll be getting to! :D
first off, daisiesdaily asked for my top five real cook/archuleta moments.
1. okay, so the thing is, i don't watch a lot of press. i'm just not a media follower. :/ BUT, this is still pretty much a no-brainer, lmfao. because obviously i'm going to have to say THE MANILA CONCERT (both when they come out and sing together and all the press they do together) i mean, for one thing, I WAS THERE TO SEE IT LIVE. and for another? seriously. SERIOUSLY, OKAY. just -- SEE FOR YOURSELF. JUST, I DON'T EVEN FUCKING KNOW, OKAY, ARCHIE IS THERE SINGING WITH COOK, FOR ONE THING, I TOTALLY LOST IT WHEN THAT HAPPENED, AND THEN AT ONE MINUTE WHEN COOK IS ALL - WHEN HE PUTS HIS HAND OVER HIS HEART AND SINKS INTO A CROUCH AND BURIES HIS FACE IN HIS HANDS LIKE WE DON'T ALL KNOW HE'S CRYING, FUCK. liza1131 and i were BAWLING LIKE BABIES, IDK, IDK. THESE BOYS ARE STUPID-MAKING.

HOWEVER, the above epicness ALSO ties with when cook SINGS CRUSH TO ARCHIE OUTSIDE THE BUSES ON THE AI TOUR OMG. i mean, for me, this was pretty much it. i was unconvinced before, even at the finale, (i'm a slow learner, okay, it took 4 seasons to convince me of the wincest) and this was the moment where i just went, you know what, there's no denying it. THEY ARE TOTALLY MFEO, AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME DIFFERENT, THE END.
3. it also kills me when cook helps archie film his vlog at the airport. just, they're so adorable and happy and comfortable with each other, NNGH, AND THEN ARCHIE CRACKS COOK UP, AS ALWAYS, AND ALKJFSHG IF THAT ISN'T MY NUMBER ONE WEAKNESS IDK WHAT IS. ("he called me lovely!" ♥ i even have an icon to commemorate that occasion now, thanks to my splendiferous wife.)
4. i never laugh as hard as when they go to the love guru thing in the finale and archie grabs the blob of cream as it slides off cook's face. EVERY TIME i see the way cook cracks up, i am right there with him, and--SORRY I JUST HAD GOT DISTRACTED AND HAD TO GO WATCH IT THREE TIMES. ARCHIE, PLZ TO BE MAKING COOK LAUGH ALWAYS.
5. okay, so, i love when cook joins archie onstage so archie doesn't look so awkward that one time in the idol results show. because a) classy behaviour is classy, and b) i think this is the point they started getting a little closer, which, AWW. the adorb starts at 1:45, but, just, like, WHEN HE SITS DOWN, AND COOK STARTS CLAPPING, JUST, WHAT A FREAKING CLASSY KID, OKAY. I HEART HIM SO MUCH IT IS UNREAL. AND THEN WHEN COOK JOINS HIM I AM TOTALLY GONE.
HONORARY MENTION: HOW ABOUT THE TIME WHERE DAVID COOK WAS DRUNK TIPSY AND WENT AROUND TELLING FANS HOW MUCH HE MISSED DAVID ARCHULETA? IDEK, OKAY, THESE BOYS KILL ME.
msktrnanny asked for my top five pairings ever, which is a little too hard to narrow down, because i jump fandoms a lot, but they probably go something like:
1. cookleta
2. juni
3. bassez
4. j2
5. harry/ron (or aragorn/legolas, HAHAHAHA)
and for the top five things about fandom, to which i'm going to have to say:
1. the people
2. the love
3. the enthusiasm
4. the tinhattery
5. the talent. all of it is just so happy-making!
she also asked for the top five things i wish singapore had, and my top five pictures, but those are probably going to take some time, so i'll have to think about it and answer those in a later post! :D
inahurricane asked for (said and smelled were way too hard, lmfao, SORRY KRISS) the top five things i've ever written -- in my opinion, at least. feel free to tell me if i've gotten it totally wrong, haha.
1. like all good fairytales (this one starts with once upon a time). this was a real labour of love because it was so hard to write, and some days i still absolutely hate it -- parts of it, at least -- but the response was so overwhelming and amazing, i just -- i got ART out of it. AND AN ENTIRE FUCKING SOUNDTRACK. and the reception was just -- you guys, some people told me they needed tissue. i mean, how do you not appreciate something like that? plus, the little mermaid/deaf!archie 'verse in particular warms my heart every time. i don't think i've ever loved a 'verse the way i do this one.
2. happenstance. i love this story because time travel is one of my absolute favourite things in the world to write about, and i don't cringe when the urge to read it over springs up from time to time. i still enjoy the style of this, and the dynamic of it, and i love that i got to play with the fanon the x-men movies generated for john/bobby!
3. juni from the __loveis 'verse, but slow dancing in a burning room in particular. i still make happy noises when i revisit the justin/nick dynamic in this. i never feel like i've captured them exactly the way i want to apart from here. i will probably never do domestic!fic this successfully again, ha.
4. (you've got) that pornstar flava. this? is my bb, negl. it took blood, sweat and tears, but the end product sometimes leaves me speechless, and it was so much fun writing a story that didn't focus on the romance and feeling like i'd come out of it with a product i could be proud of. plus, this fic gave me samibee, and i am so very, very thankful for that.
5. cookleta ficlets. it started with hot priest!archie (thank you, cabayuki!) and then kind of snowballed from there. i've written so many, in so many different places, that i've kind of lost track of them all. they were all really fun to do, though, and i always feel like some of my best work is written in comment!fic.
and for the top five things i've ever done, which is sort of self-explanatory, to me, so:
1. shaved my head
2. seen cookleta perform in manila
3. GONE TO EUROPE
4. seen (and touched) david archuleta's hand, HAHA
5. survived poly and gotten my diploma (although i discovered in this process that the media was not for me, lmfao)
