(no subject)
so. breaking my self-imposed hiatus for a little bit to whine some.
see, i'm using this icon because i haven't had any reason to lately (re: at all this year) and it's been missed. unfortunately, after kimi's spectacular screw-up last night, it might just stay that way. still, i was hopeful in my undying somewhat shaky faith in nadal. two sets down; he could still totally win it!
or not. ugh, murray.
i probably shouldn't be surprised, though. it is so not my sports!boys' week.
but! three weeks till i get to actually go to a formula one race. and hopefully kimi used up all his crazy bad karma yesterday and pulls something spectacular off then. and now nadal can rest up and kick murray's ass next year the way it deserves to be kicked. i was semi hoping federer would, you know, not actually win any of the grand slams this year (because i'm vindictive like that) but there's no way that's happening now. he's going to cream murray.
BUT SPORTS ASIDE - and i thought this would be a short post, ha! - DAVID ARCHULETA IS PERFECT. just - gah. the video was PERFECT. HIS FACE. AND THE SECRETIVE SMILES. AND THE EMO-ING AND THE PIANO. AND THE 'WTF GUYS, YOU ARE ALL NOT GENTLEMEN' GESTURE BEFORE HE HELPED THE GIRL OUT OF THE POOL (which, of course he's still not getting in! of COURSE he's not going to show us what's under that shirt!) AND THE GUITAR PLAYING (DID HE REALLY PLAY?!). AND THAT VERY LAST SCENE, WHICH, OH MY GOSH, I COULD NOT STOP SMILING AND MELTING AND LOVING AND. JUST. YES. OH MY GOSH HOW IS ONE VIDEO MADE OF SO MUCH WIN? MY LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDS.
also, uh. last night i may have, like, trawled youtube and watched just about every song he's ever done off-idol, and oh, ARCHIE. he makes me smile like no other. HOW CAN ANYONE HELP IT IN THE FACE OF ALL THAT HAPPY AND ADORABLE? even when he was teary-eyed about alexandrea leaving, i was kind of like, oh my GOSH, stop being so CUTE.
although, um. i may have a thing for david cook. by thing i actually mean his voice does funny things to my insides, and by may i mean it is RIDICULOUS how hormotional i was last night just listening to him do aerosmith. EUSIHGJKE#RTWEOFKLD, the only thing that could possibly make this better is more cookleta fanfic (or fanart! or fanvids! i'm open!). lots and lots and lots more (*ahem*, boomingvoice, i'm looking at you). i am surprised that there isn't more emo!angst being written about the tour ending soon, though. ...i may have to look into that myself.
