seeking Scifi/Fantasy books on Angels

God's Demon by Wayne Barlowe

I had another one that I can't find. It was really interesting about a city suspended by chains over a pit with a young man as the angel protector. If I can figure out what it was, I'll post.

The trilogy you mention is by Alan Campbell--Scar Night, Iron Angel and The Deepgate Codex are (if I'm remembering correctly) the book titles.

Yes. Though I only read Scar Night.

That's all I've read too. I'd like to read the others, but you should see my "to read" pile. It's nearly as tall as I am. ;)

I read that the sequels don't live up to the first one, so I've not bought them yet. I really liked part 1, and am not sure I want to "spoil" that by not-so-great sequels
