This song doesn't bring up the expected emotion, ever. It's obviously supposed to be sad but it always just calls up the latent resentment that I never got Pulaski Day off when everyone else did.
Yesterday I went to IKEA. I forgot how awesome that place is. I ended up with a blanket that is like a blanket of Four's scarf. It was $30 but I needed to have it. So awesomeeee. Also bought were a lamp, a corkscrew, salt&pepper shakers, a length of fabric that I'm going to turn into a table runner or something, and a kitchen rug... is that it? I think that's it. It seemed like a lot more. I might actually try to make it to the Woodfield one tomorrow since I neglected to pick up a freestanding lamp.
