1.Edinburgh! My home. I love how cosmopolitan and beautiful and old it is, and how seeped in oddity. My writer friend has started a story on a parallel Edinburgh populated by demons, angels and gargoyles, and it’s not so fantastical as it sounds. There’s enough corners for them all to hide in this city.
2. Echo and the Bunnymen. As stated below.
3.English! The language, not the people. I’ve had a passionate love affair with the thesaurus all my life. And my dictionary suspects nothing, haha!
4. East Coast Rising. A comic about pirates in a post-apocalyptic America populated by giant mutant turtles, drawn by Becky Cloonan. It just doesn’t get much better.
5. ‘Epices’ - the word. ‘Spices’ in French, it has a neat little sound to it which I really like. And I love spices. Yeah, that begins with s, okay.
6. Elizabethan fashion - particularly when worn on Blackadder. Oh god it’s so good. All I really want to do is wear a ruff all day.
7. Eligible yet snarkily resistant bachelors. Mostly Lord Goring.
8. Egypt, of times gone by. They had the best gods, full stop. Plus, excellent style. And great music.
9. Exhibitions. I love good art exhibitions, especially the small ones. There’s no atmosphere quite like a room full of good art and hushed whispers.
10. eternal_ivy aaand ohhh look I’m out of room _evening_rain_ too. Their usernames both begin with E, and they’re both amazing. Surely this cannot be co-incidence.
