And god how I want to be kissed
Like that, with
Snow spun out of control
Crushed by my own happiness
Violins swelling in my throat
Air that vibrates in my chest
Makes me dizzy and MAKES ME LOVE YOU
While the trees can burn
the sets can collapse
and the rouge can fade
But god how I want to be loved like that

panicking because i have a job to do
yanked on clothing
painted my lips and i caught you in the mirror
imitating my opening mouth, my mutterings
my dark jailbait greasepaint
and i flushed and pushed and then
stared

i hadn't realized how short each breath
contracts inside our bodies
it could have been you
in that park, on that tree
