I got my visa from the Korean Consulate today. A big, fat sticker in my passport book makes the adventure a little closer and little more real. Though the calendar could slow down a little, please and thank you.
I'm continuing with Rosetta Stone and am one long lesson away from completing level one. It's going well, I think, though I'm having trouble understanding what some of the grammar points are supposed to be. "Are you saying 'The children write letters' or "The children are writing letters'"? I'm trying not to worry about because I assume I can learn these grammar points in a language class in ROK (Republic of Korea).
I have learned colors and "What are you doing?" but still haven't learned "thank you," though I have learned "teacher." I'm trying to let RS do its thing and put my prejudices about language learning aside. But, I did find a good place on line that I think might serve as a good crash course to pick up some of these things that RS doesn't seem to cover.
And so the learning adventures continue.
