This Is Where I Draw The Line
Sam was half asleep, his face buried in the pillow, just sort of afterglowing and listening to the soothing sound of Dean actually talking to him, not about a hunt, or demons, or angels, just random bullshit, which drop box they had to hit next, (Arkansas), when the car was due for an oil change, (850 miles). He shifted and sighed as Dean's finger traced random patterns across his back. He turned his head, raising an eyebrow. “Is that a devil’s trap?”
“What? No, I mean, maybe but just because when I you know…”
“Doodle?”
Dean shrugged. “We’ve drawn a lot of them it’s kind of hard to forget.” Dean's fingers changed direction but never lost contact with Sam's skin.
Sam nodded, relaxing into Dean's touch, the pressure changed, and he could feel the letters as if they were being left on his skin indelibly. Ai Ef-Oh- OR-Gee-Eye-Vee-Ee Wy-Oh-Yu ♥.
Sam pulled at Dean's arm until they were face to face on the pillow and kissed him. “Get some sleep, we can be in Arkansas by tomorrow night.’
Dean carded his fingers through Sam's hair and closed his eyes.
