Yeah GMs in ffxi suck badly... But what do you mean "if you send something to get replaced in the game in FFXI"? Like if you dropped it? Or if it accidentally disappeared? GMs would at most snicker and laugh a bit and tell you they can't do anything about it and it's part of the game either way, but at least I think the accidentally disappear part never really happens, like there's no glitches that just make an item disappear unless it's someone hacking into your account and selling or dropping them on purpose. At least that part is good i guess. Also,"Saturday night's events on Remora in FFXI", what happened? o.O
btw, one positive thing about FFXI is that there are no giant glowing @#$*s and b*&%s just sticking out of the ground =P O.O'
Yup, what Theo said. The HARDEST MOB IN FFXI died only because the LS that killed it used a wall exploit to render it completely useless... and what did they get for it? Nothing, absolutely nothing.
You also can't play the "they get the honor for being the first to kill it" card because well, like I just said, it was like fighting a lion with it's legs tied up and jaw sown shut, and your arsonal was a fleet of F-16s.
Months and months of those people lives were wasted getting the pop items, and now that they killed their "goal", what was the reward? 50 limit points. =)

And lol, it wasn't just a floating dick in the middle of no where, I positioned my camera behind the head/neck of this floating ghost thing that can raise you once you're dead. Her head/shoulder created that image when zoomed in. =P
Dude, EVERYTHING you just mentioned happens on a daily basis in WoW. For instance, today I just saw Mount Hyjal (unreleased area) for the first time with a guildie, and jumped off the very top for a 3-minute fall into an Alliance town. Like, the area was fucking HUGE, and it has all sorts of lore behind it (I took some screens which you'll see in my next entry).
Really though, if you like the stuff you say you did, all that stuff+10 is in WoW... you'd just have to see for yourself. =) I really think you should try it out. =)
I am sure I would like it, but my RL just couldn't take 2 addictive games, or even just one really, I am kinda hoping that my interest (addiction? lol) in ffxi will start to dwindle down at some point, and then no more online mmorpg games for me if i can avoid it, so i can be more productive and just enjoy nice/awesome games that have a nice start and especially a well defined END and leave you with an enjoyable experience and memories but that's it, like all the older FF games etc.
I am looking forward to FF12 and Kingdom Hearts 2 for example, those kinds of games =)
I totally believe you when you say i'd have lots of fun and more, but that's like if I told you "man, you should try heroin and crack, once you try them you won't want to stop", yeah, duh, but maybe i really shouldn't lol ^^
