Review:
It's a classic fake relationship reveal true feelings fic and it's nicely done. The set up of the fic works so well here for two reasons: The exposition reveals that in this verse Cat truly knows that Kara is Supergirl and is keeping the secret as a friend who is already part of her life, and the whole fic is centered as much around the relationship between Cat/Kara as it is about the complicated family relationships they both have, and bringing their families together.
I really enjoyed the episode with Cat's son Carter and how he and Kara connected, so it's a very nice added bonus for me here to have him included in their relationship. I really liked the little moments with Carter and Kara here.
Some part of me feels this fic could have done with a little more conflict, but then this fluffy romance is exactly what I need some days and it delivers in full, making good use of all the family members to build the fake relationship plot up and make the obvious conclusion happen in a satisfying way.
