Summary: In an AU where Tony chose to design and sell sex toys instead of weapons, he nevertheless manages to make something that grabs the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a project called the Avengers Initiative. When he goes to meet the rest of his team, things are anything but smooth as they try to figure out why the "Toymaker" has been called in to help save the world.

Review: I've had this on my too list as soon as it is completed list for a while. I love the whole premise, and any pairing/story that involves Jarvis being an all-knowing smart ass, goes on my too read list.

Tony decides as a teenager to give his dad a giant FU and go into sex toy design instead of weapons. This understandably changes a lot of his origin. No capture by the Ten Rings, no arc reactor.

This is where a lot of stories that change his backstory tend to loose me, but Juane_Chat did an amazing job thinking about all the different directions Tony's change in careers would effect things. And the ways that they wouldn't.

Rhodey is a badass cyborg, Pepper is still as in control as ever, and Tony still discovers iron man through his guilt and screwed up relationship with Stane, not because Stane sold him out, but because Stane never bothered to hide his double dealings from Howard's disgraced son.

And in the end, a more well adjusted version of Tony Stark is still needed to rescue the world and Bruce Banner.

While Tony is the star of the story, I love how Juane writes Bruce. His sarcastic, grumpy, angry, and still doesn't know how to take being bowled over by a personality like Tony's. In this world though, instead of offering Bruce a chance to try and stop all wars, Tony offers him a chance to feel good, try new things, and have a little 'stess relief' without having to be afraid of what the Hulk will do. And that is what gives the two of them and Jarvis such a great chance for a happy ending. One where they have more in their life than just a constant fight to save the world.
