Summary: During his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Blaine makes an unlikely friend in the form of one of castle’s portraits: Kurt Hummel.
Review:
Ah, those good old Harry Potter crossovers. Every fandom has them. Even the Harry Potter fandom has them, strangely enough.
But do they feature the main character as a portrait sitting on an empty wall of Hogwarts? Probably not.
Kurt doesn't know much about himself, only what his painter told him before leaving him on a wall for over 140 years. He lives a dull, fairly miserable life, until a boy called Blaine Anderson comes fumbling along and trips on his over-large robes in his corridor.
Blaine and Kurt are fast friends--in fact, Kurt is Blaine's only friend. This story follows the development of that friendship, as Blaine teaches Kurt about who he was as a human, and Kurt finally has someone to talk to, spend his time with, look forward to seeing. Even through all the ups and down, they stay loyal to each other, and follow the natural course of most pieces of Klaine fanfiction--they fall in love.
The warnings do say major character death, yes, but do not fear--the story has a bittersweet (but mostly sweet) ending that will leave you with a smile on your face. And several select references to the actual events of the Harry Potter series scattered throughout, which will leave you hungering for more.
