Hey Jane,
I feel your pain on the last bullet point for Anime fic. It is extremely hard to find good, well written fic. To that end I know it's outside your Reader Recs, but if you haven't already encountered it I wanted to recommend to you a Naruto fic by maldoror_gw called Diplomatic RelationsDiplomatic Relations.

It's very well written, long, and complete. Even if you're not particularly familiar with the Naruto series I think the story stands on it's own, and would definitely fall into the primer of must reads for anyone who is fond of that 'verse.

You've been doing an excellent job recc'ing great and interesting fics on this com. and I wanted to give something back. So if you haven't read this and get the time down the line, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

Sweet! Now I have a reason to try out a new manga/anime fandom (I kind of stopped after running out of Bleach volumes to read...and Fruits Basket volumes...and, well, you get the point).

As for the fic...yeah, it's frustrating. But it's even more frustrating to find something good, spend several hours reading it, and then find out that the story ends in character death or a breakup. Which, really, I think is one of the major problems with fic written by kids. They think it's artistic or adult to end a story miserably, when in most cases it just ruins an otherwise okay fic. Grr.

Thanks for the rec! Once the membership for this community gets larger, I'll probably start posting the occasional anime RR. Maybe we'll all stumble onto something good together.
