While trying to get over his ex-boyfriend, Jensen gets drunk while alone at his place and chats up a guy at an internet kink site. The next morning he’s blacked out almost the whole incident. It’s a complete surprise to him, therefore, when he comes home a couple days later to a strange man sprawled out on his porch, luggage with him.
AUs in this fandom can range anywhere from really good to horribly horribly bad. It can be very difficult for some authors to get the right voice down for the characters in another incarnation, and others have real difficulty letting canon go far enough to write an actual plot. Casspeach, on the other hand, writes really fantastic AUs.
This is a really cute fic, full of both Jensen and Jared being too stubborn to see what’s right in front of their eyes. Chris is great in this, fantastic supportive best friend. Some of the other characters could have been a little more involved, or at least given more presence for the short amounts of story they actually are in, but otherwise this story works really well.
