What was your first fandom?
The X-Files. Or Star Trek: TOS.

What was the first story you read in that fandom?
I honestly don't remember.

What was your favorite story in that fandom?
The X-files:
24/7 by Xanthe (Skinner/Mulder)
http://www.xanthe.org/Novels/247title.html
Exigency by Zoe Takashi and Louise Wu (Skinner/Krycek)
http://lzl.dreamhost.com/Stories/Exigency.html
I'm not super crazy about the h/c fics that dominate the Star Trek: TOS fandom. Sorry, no recs.

What was your first slash fandom?
My first "real" fandoms were mostly slash. I was a Mulder/Skully fan when it came to the show, but I just couldn't read about them having sex.

What was the first story you read in that fandom?
See above.

What was your favorite story in that fandom?
See above.

What was your first het fandom?
Jane Austen novels.

What was the first story you read in that fandom?
Don't remember. :(

What was your favorite story in that fandom?
A Prudent Motive by Malini (Elizabeth/Darcy)
http://www.austen.com/derby/old_2003/malini9e.htm

What was your first gen fandom?
I've actually read some stories from the Chinese Kung Fu novel fandoms before seriously getting into a particular "fandom". They are mostly gen stories about, well, Kung Fu, honour, family loyalty, betrayal, more honour...and lots of people getting killed. Luckily, I don't think there are any English translations.
Other than that, I don't read much gen in fandom.

What was your favorite story in that fandom?

What was the first explicit story you read?
I don't know, but probably The Story of O. Seriously. I was underage, but I bought the book from a bookstore (one of those big, chain stores) and it didn't have an age-statement or whatever on it. I thought it was the most boring book ever.
In fandom, the one I remember is The Adversary by Xanthe (Skinner/Mulder)
http://www.xanthe.org/Novels/adversary.htm

Favorite kissing story?
Um...I don't know. I never paid much attention to kissing scenes, or sex scenes for that matter. They usually bore me, but I suppose that means I haven't read a very memorable one.

What is your favorite story of all time? (If you can't pick just one, you can do a list, but try to keep it to under five stories)
I think that's very difficult for me to say. There are stories I think are great story -- writing, plot, characterization, impact, the works -- but I would never (or rarely) re-read, and there are stories I think are not "great" per se but would read over and over again.
Story list to follow in next post.

*Did we decide whether it's 5 per fandom or 5 in total? Just joking*

Stories that I loved but probably will never be able to re-read them again in entirety.

SGA:
Written by the Victors by Speranza (there is explicit Rodney/John, but I would say this qualifies as gen)
http://www.trickster.org/speranza/cesper/Victors.html

Freedom's Just Another Word For Nothing Left To Lose by Synecdochic (past Rodney/John, but really, it's gen)
http://www.kekkai.org/synecdochic/sga/freedoms_just_another_word.html

Ichor by Lobelia
http://www.geocities.com/lobelia321/ichor.html

SPN:
Monogatari by Danny Black (Jared/Jensen AU)

The X-Files:
Wind River by Cathleen Faye (Mulder/OMC)

Dude, The Proposition is based on an *actual romance novel*. It really isn't meant to be serious literature. (And, considering how I avoid serious literature like the plauge, this is probably a good thing:)

And I would also like to say that Jane came up with most of the (coherent parts of the) questionnaire.

Well...well...well, I had to multitask when my sister insisted on calling and telling me all about her date the night before. So there!

(Okay, yes, that was totally weak. You may now beat me with a wet noodle.)
