Theory #1

When you think that you understand someone you feel better about yourself because if this person means a lot to you then you feel that something good is going to happen but if it turns out that you were wrong then you start to re-think everything, maybe you don't understand that person and maybe you never did in the first place and you were just fooling yourself.

A game that person played with you but you know that you can't blame that person because they didn't do anything, it all came down to you and your presumptions. But these things might be small to everyone else but to you it means everything because your presumptions are what made you feel a certain way about that person and to find out that in fact you know nothing about this person hurts. It's not heartbreakingly hurtful but it still hurts a lot, you know you don't love this person but you know that this person could be the one that you fall in love with.

But can you ever tell this person how you feel? No, because you don't want them to change, it would hurt more to you if they knew and changed the way they act around you, you wouldn't want it to change your life but it will. You know you're already a guarded person to begin with but if anything happens then you close up more than you already do and you don't want that.

So you make a new resolution to yourself, "don't let anything affect you because when it does you have no way to counteract it", that is going to be your new resolution. You can't afford to do this again to yourself. So maybe it's best if you don't spend so much time talking to the person, thinking about this person because all it is doing is distracting you from what you need to be doing.

But remember never to blame this person because they didn't do anything, it's all your own fault. But then you think you can't really blame yourself either you just have to think it's something that happened and all you have to do is get on with your life and don't dwell on this one thing because all it does is hurt you.
