Philosophy

I do not like philosophy. Really, I can't make myself care about why Descartes wanted to prove that God exists. In fact, I don't think he even did a good job in proving it. Maybe it's because my inner historian needs proof from facts and evidence, not the word of some guy who sat around, thought for a while, and then said, "Ok, so I thought about it for a while, and you guys, God totally has to exist." I just don't buy it. (That was an exact quote from Descartes, by the way.)

I'm trying to keep an open mind about philosophy and the course and my professor, but really, it's just not working. Plus, I'm trying to work on the essays that are due later in the week, but I'm frustrated because I really don't know what to say or how to begin. And I'm pretty sure I've already answered at least two of them, and my answers were a paragraph long, so I really don't know how I'll be able to write for 3 pages.

Other than having to deal with the stupidity of philosophy, I'm ok. My sister and her friend visited me on Friday, so I attempted to give them the "typical" Manhattan College experience. It wasn't totally typical, because we didn't drunkenly end up at Short Stop at 3:00 am, but whatever.

I think that maybe I should either get some work done or eat some dinner. I believe I'm going to go with the dinner option.

things i'm not a fan of, sister, philosophy
