On the upswing
Initially I was having a terrible week. Nothing that happened was particularly bad, but just a bunch of stupid things happening at once. And basically one little thing just kind of set off something where suddenly everything that bothers me about my life all started hitting me at once. And I held it together until I called my mom, at which point I suddenly had some sort of meltdown and just started crying to her on the phone. It wasn't good.
But the week did get better!
I gave my resume to a few different people at the career fair on Wednesday, and there were a few who said they wanted to contact me about potential summer employment.
Christine, Maura, and I are REEEEEALLY close to having an apartment! I think they just have to finish our credit check, and if that works out then I think the next step is to sign a lease.
Then on Thursday some of us went out for Christine's birthday, and I have found my new favorite place of all time: THE CROCODILE LOUNGE. You get free pizza with every beer you order!!!!!!!!!! And there's ski ball. What's not to like? Ok, actually the only downside is that it's on E 14th St., thus is roughly 3452345 miles away from where I am. So we didn't end up getting back until 4 am. And I had class Friday. Good times!
Yesterday was really nice. The temperature's been in the 70's. This makes me happy. Also last night I went to An Beal, Fenwick's for five minutes (WHY??? I don't know), and then a few of us ended up at River City. And it was only the four of us and the bartender, Timmy. There was not a single other person in the place. For some reason I find this hilarious. And depressing. Anyway, Timmy told us a whole bunch of crazy stories about his life.
AND: THE RANGERS BEAT THE DEVILS! YAY YAY YAY!
