On the one hand, I'm pretty pumped that this year is over. It started out well enough, with New Orleans, but it pretty much went downhill after that. While I'm sure this won't go down as the worst year anyone has ever had, ever, I can't say it was one of my most enjoybale years over all. I didn't go to Mexico and then I proceeded to have the worst summer of my life, during which I cried more than I have cried in years. This year, I felt insecure, sad, and lonely at many points, but pretended I didn't. I know that New Year's is really sort of an arbitrary point in time, but it gives me hope that I have a new oppurtunity for something interesting to happen to me.
On the other hand, it is New Year's Eve, when everyone is expected to go to parties or generally do something, but I have a headache, no plans and nowhere to go tonight, so I generally feel miserable. Even though it's still just an arbitrary point in time. Usually my non-popularity doesn't concern me, but occasionally I do wish I would get invited somewhere.
I'm not sure if this was even coherent. I'm going to go read a book or something.
