SIMPLY! HAVING! A WONDERFUL CHRISTMASTIME!
Perhaps someday I will actually finish revising my fascinating paper about conflict theory in Othello. Since, ya know, it's due at 4pm tomorrow. And then maybe I'll finish my stupid Survey Research stupid proposal, which is due Saturday, but we can pretty much e-mail it to him whenevs, and be done with it and just go home. Which in Kaitlin World means I'm not leaving here until Saturday, because I am the laziest person in the history of laziness. Also, I'll probably be up really late tonight working because the one plus side of my school life right now is that my actual exams are finished, so I can afford to stay up late. That's right, all five of those bad boys were owned by yours truly.
Also, I would like to note that I really enjoy it when my mom calls me for completely ridiculous reasons. She hardly ever calls me to see how I'm doing; usually that's an after thought. No, she calls me like she did today by saying, "Katie! Guess what song is on the radio right now!" I said I didn't no know, so she held the phone up to the speaker so that I could hear, "SIMPLY HAVING A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS TIME!!!!!!" blaring into my ear, possibly in an attempt to make me go deaf. Obviously she would call me to tell me this, because I have very strong opinions on this song (LYRICAL MASTERPIECE/GREATEST MUSICAL ACHIEVEMENT EVER!), and then she and I spent the next few minutes trying to figure out why that song is so AWESOME! (Actually her words were, "Who sings this crap? Is is Paul McCartney? I had to turn the radio off, I can't listen to that song anymore. If only I was rolling money, I'd release a stupid Christmas song too. No one would stop me, it would be hilarious.")
I've realized that as much as I rant and rave about my parents, I really can't deny the fact that my mom and I have pretty much the same personality and sense of humor. We are exactly same. It's sort of ridiculous.
