Live Journal? this thing still exists? I thought xanga had pretty much taken over lol. Anyways, i havnt posted on either one ina super long time so ill write it up on this one, mainly because SARAH is to busy for lil ol' me, and ive seceretly been playing on an alliance server in wow so i never talk to her... or you i guess would be more proper, being im sure you will be the only one taking the time to read this here in livejournal haha.

So its been a while since ive last written one of these deals up, mainly because 5 weeks ago i moved yet again. Elizabeth City is my new home until August, as i am here for "A School." Im learning my trade finally in the USCG, Avionics Electrical Technician... or as my instructers call it, the rate for the nerds. Yes, i fit right in, and so far i must say its awesome. Just knowing that once i graduate here ill be heading to my next station and getting Flight Mech certified where i will have the chance to save countless lives from the sky.

The past few months, i must say, have been pretty eventfull. Upon arrival my first goal after getting all my stuff moved in is the same any nerd of my status would aim to accomplish... Broadband. I was under the impression these fine barracks (laugh) had access to cable internet. AFter two days of investigating i finally give in and admit defeat... dial up will once again consume me. I have cursed the day i once again was forced to use dial up, and im stuck with it for 5 months. BUT.... WoW still works!!! kinda... it gets pretty laggy at times, but im content.

The first day of class... i must say i was a bit nervous. I was somewhat expecting the instructors to act like a company commander in boot camp... why you ask? I have no idea... its just the military, and there way of training is stressing you out, so when you are 100 feet in the air hovering over 40 foot seas pulling up a person from a sinking vessel, they can rest assured the stress wont break you... and i totally understand the reasoning. However, come to find out my stress ridden days are over... the instructors are awesome. I can honestly say i love these guys, and they are doing a great job of teaching.

During the second or third week... not to sure, they had a blood drive. Of course they say what they always say when your station (cape may being my last that this happened) they come in saying ok guys... why did you join the coast guard? to save lives right? well heres your chance to save 4. blah blah same old spill. I did though, its not so bad, and hey.... who can argue with free cookies. So the day comes and i finally get thtough all the screening the red cross does and i sit down in the chair/bed/whatever it is. The guy hangs up the blood bag things on my rack and tapes the lil tubes to my arm... then informs me he will be with me in a second. So im sitting here waiting and i notice the guy across from me starts to doze off... Im sitting here thinking... im pretty sure your not supposed to sleep during this lol, but then he opens his eyes and notices me starting haha, so i play it off and go about my waiting. He starts to doze off again and all the sudden his eyes roll back in his head and his tongue is hanging out with his arms curled up.. at first i thought he was plaing a cruel joke on the nurse haha, how dumb is that. Then the nurse starts yelling help to get the other doctor to come over (keep in mind im sitting right in front of this dude, facing him, about to get a needle shot up in my arm). He finally comes to and he's fine but a little embarrased... the funny part is one of the other nurses walks over to me and says are YOU ok? hahaha. I say im good, im good... stick me. Although a little nervous after that incident, i gave without any more drama.

As most of you know... im a real goody goody. I dont drink, smoke, go to bars, party , do drugs etc.. I sit around watching movies, playing video games, and playing in the woods :P. Somehow i am now considered one of the worse students in my class behavioral wise according to the senior chief... Heres the story lol. My roomate is a crazy dude... hes pretty cool though. At his previous stations he was the guy that was always getting drunk at bars and stuff... but a couple of days living with me and hes in front of a computer all day playing wow haha. Anyways... after living here 3 weeks we had to move into a different room, and the following monday we had to turn in this piece of paper stating there wasnt anything wrong with the room. Well we forgot it, and we were the only ones that did... we get called into the seniors office and basically get chewed out... something along the lines of how he didnt need us here, there were alot of people waiting on our spots and we could easily be replaced. Since then my roomate has gotten in trouble with him a few more times... but thats pretty much all ive done wrong since ive been here. Oh well, as they say, take it with a grain of salt and learn from your mistakes. You better believe i wont be forgetting any more pieces of paper.

THE DUNKER!! Also referred to as the 9D5 Aviation Survival Training. We had to undergo this training yesterday, im happy so say that our whole entire class... as well as the class ahead of us all passed. Which appareantly is really rare. They do several swim tests to make sure you a good swimmer, and they put all the flight gear on you (boots, flight suit, and helmet) and expect you to swin 45 meters then tread water OR the survival float position (i think thats what its called) which is basically just floating under the water and coming up for breath. All this in 5 minutes... that is you have to do this for 5 minutes, then you can go to the side. Its not so easy with all that gear on. Then they put you in the "swet chair" which is basically this chair that flips you over, while strapped in, into a cage. You have to unstrap yourself, and then find the door and open it to get out. Its really disorienting, and if you panic your going to have a hard time getting out. After you do the chair once, they BLINDFOLD you and make you do it again. I actually found it easier to get out blindfolded. I guess because i didnt panic as much and i relied on my reference points more. After the Swet chair, you go through the 9D5 Dunker. Its this big barrel type thing that simulated the inside of a helo or airframe. it goes under water, flips you, and you have to find your way out. they do it twice, then blindfold you and make you do it a third time... that was FREAKY. I dug up a picture on the net, its an old version but you get the idea.... http://members.visi.net/~motox/images/CG_Entering_Water_9D5.JPG

My spare time? Pretty much all ive been doing is playing WoW and watching movies in the awesome movie room they have here in the barracks. Its this huge screen tv that has a dvd player and like 5 couches... its great. I also find myself roaming around the internet, just outta boredom, you know how it goes. I found one picture the other day, i must say it had me asking what could have been. You ever seen anything like that? ahh well, life goes forewards, not backwards. No use worrying about what could have been... only whats about to happen :) For those of you curious people heres the picture... and im 100% positive only one person will know what it is.. well maybe two.
