update.
it's cold as cold can be here right now. my scarf is getting well used and i wish i had a warm compfy bed to sleep in tonight. i wish i had my own bed! instead i will settle for the communal living of a hostel. but soon, oh so soon i will have a place of my own! and a fireplace and a bed and a kitchen and a shower! and i will unpack my bags so that getting ready in the morning ceases to be a freakin' scavenger hunt. yay!
also, calculus freaks me out. the next 2 years may be spent with equations and algorithms and software and graphs of predicted responses. eek! may the math gods help my soul.
i've spent the last 2 hours at the university campus emailing and interneting. it feels good to catch up with my fake online life. whew! also, i will soon have a permanent internet connection at my place and i will be setting up skype so i can talk real-like with anyone who's interested. i have no idea how it all works, but we'll figure it out.
i went to visit my family last weekend and it was oh so wonderful to see my nana, amongst other great relatives. oh she's so great, i love her! she's in her mid-90's and wonderful. i hope i'm a great as her when i'm 90-something. hell, i'd be happy with being that great now.
also, i'm in beer-deprivation. i need beer.
ok, i should really head back to my hostel and eat. i'm hungry.
