Like A Startling Sign that Fate Had Finally Found Me
1.) Went to see Transformers with Marissa yesterday. First of all, good movie. Secondly, great music (original score by Linkin Park, ftw). Third, getting there without a car is bullshit. Let's say my house is point A. The theater in Burlington is point C. We'll call Alewife point B. From A to C, via car, takes less than 10 minutes. Via bus, we need to get to point B first. That's Lexington to Alewife to Burlington. FML. ("Isosceles triangle" isn't the right phrase, but it's the first one that comes to mind.) We get on the bus at 9:55 am. We hang out in Alewife for an hour (where, btw, smoking is punishable by prison time). We get off the bus at 11:50 am. The movie starts at 12:00. And we're on Burlington Mall road, and need to walk it. And I think we all know that the Burlington theater is a majestic beacon atop a fucking mountain. Needless to say, we made it, and had a small blasty-blast.
2.) Let's talk about Old Navy's retarded new size chart, for a moment. Why is it that for years now, I've bought the same size shirt and pants, and Monday when I went, the pants were too small and the shirts drowned me? How the hell does that happen? Shouldn't EVERYTHING be either too small or too big? Or am I just starting to look like a pear? Because I don't think I am. Also, I broke down and bought 3 items of clothing from Forever 21. And I like them all :)
3.) I need to be at the airport at 6:00 am tomorrow for the San Diego adventure. Which means wake up at 4:00. Which means, why bother going to sleep? It also means I have 1,000,0001 things to do today. Hm. At least there may be some sunlight there.
4.) I've gone a few days without an obsession! A quick recount of things I've spent weeks gushing over so far...

-Rob & Big / Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory
-Orlando Bloom movies (I don't know.)

(And a quick aside that I thought you'd enjoy... I am doing everything in my power to pump my family up for HBP, and there's only so far I can get before they all tell me to shut up. However, I did have a miraculously long conversation with my mother regarding who the Half-Blood Prince actually is. She's convinced it's Hermione, which is silly. The kicker is that she makes up names for people, including "Double-Door," "The Blonde Asshole," "The Dark Teacher," and, her latest, "Maheimy" which apparently stands for Hermione. I haven't laughed that hard in a while.)
In any event, that's been my life. Time to go do something useless before I need to pack and such. See you in a week!
