Catching Up

Had a day off today.
Between the Pizzi-Thompson studio, Trade Up and band rehearsal I seem to have so few.

Trying to act natural while I take my own picture on the way to P+T studio.

Got a few things done.

Played guitars for a few hours. Pulled drives from my old PC... trying to clean up archives and make sense of these completely full NTFS format drives I can't modify under OS X.  Ordered a new 250 Gb Lacie drive to help sort things out (and add to my collection.)  Been putting off some of these storage/archive issues for too long.

Monday I found myself riding a bus across town to do some photoshop work, and wondering just how much the world really has changed.

Monday, Sept. 11 2006.  From the bus on my way to work.

Jess and decided to go ahead and get the amps we've been wishing we had.  Money is gonna be tight for while, but we have to compete with drums...
We only had them at home for a couple of days last week before bringing them to the rehearsal space.  So far so good!  Room recordings of the last couple of sessions are sounding quite respectable.

I still need to pick up a rack for the bass head.  As soon as we book a show I suppose.
Still kind of blocking on lyrics, but also just getting over a pretty sore throat.

Sunday night I wired a 9v clip adapter together so I could power the distortion David Prid gave me with the tap from my tuner.  I kept leaving the thing plugged in and getting inconsistent sound.  Of course part of that was due to missing knobs.  Found some of those at Trade Up.  Love that employee discount.

So much to do.... this is why I rarely post.

We've been trying to get out more.  This week we'll be at Someday Lounge  (new venue next to the Backspace) on Thurs after rehearsal, and again on Saturday (possibly Noir on Fri or Sat as well, depending on fundage.)
