Character's Personality - The first and most important thing about Isabel isn't anything in her personality- it's her beauty. Shallow yes, but she is someone who holds a beauty which makes people assume a lot of things about her before even bothering to speak with her. Beneath looks that would suggest a sense of 'perfection' lies a flawed individual who keeps people at bay to guard the notion of 'beauty' people have about her. Isabel isn't rude or bad person, she is cautious and distant.
While being beautiful is a good thing, it is also a big flaw- people tend to overlook the fact that she has a personality underneath it, a voice, likes, dislikes and flaws. Connecting to people is difficult as most of the men around her see her as a trophy- beautiful, rich and perfect- someone who would look lovely on their arms.
Generally she is pretty easy going and so on, until you hit on her- then she turns disdainful, irritated and sarcastic. She's friendly and flirtatious in a non-serious way, playful even when she gets comfortable with a person- she is someone who is struggling to free herself from the constrains of her name.
Isa isn't a bad person, sure she's not exactly the best person but she's flawed although her face and pretty looks would certainly suggest otherwise. For this reason she always has to be careful how much she lets go around people and how much she has to guard this image of 'beauty' she lives with. Though she isn't a bad person or rude, she's simply distant but hides this behind being polite and 'friendly'. This idolization has always put her in a very lonely place in which trusting people is hard because how sure is she that it wasn't her looks which convinced them rather than her personality? Or a true desire to help her out? She doesn't, she's no mind reader.
Character's History - Childhood; Born in New York to an upper class British family, Isabel remembers a time when her family wasn't loaded with money as it is now. When she was young, her father struck a fantastic business deal and then life changed. They became 'upper east' and from then on Isabel had the finest things in life, her twin sister though beautiful as well never had the same aura that Isabel does- a beauty and a spirit that make men want to possess her and from her young years they have tried. Brought into modeling when still a kid, Isabel grew up in that world where looks matter more than personality.
School; Her schooling was the best there could be offered, Isabel had plenty of suitors back then too but she rejected most of them as her mother advised her to do. Her career also made it pretty hard to date and study as it was very time consuming, Isabel enjoyed what she did (after all a part of her is vain enough to admit the attention is nice) but it gave her little time for other things like friends and teenage slumber parties, proms and so on. There was one person who stuck by her- a young assistant to one of the photographers that she helped become a photographer in his own right. Surprised Isabel found herself finally falling in love with someone.
Adulthood; As soon as she turned eighteen she got married to him. Shortly before the her 21st the two separated, mostly because of personal reasons- Isabel feeling a growing dislike towards the way he was treating her- as a prize, the thing she loathed the most. The night of their separation they had a massive fight with her storming out of their apartment and cutting all ties- changing her phone number, making it impossible for him to ever contact her again. However, Isabel never divorced him and no one presented her with divorced papers so she supposed he didn't want that either.
Plague; Isabel was one of those people who didn't really suffer because of the plague, her family well-off and rich managed to slip past anything severe, throwing money at the revival project to keep themselves nice and safe. Her family has also played an important part in helping the reconstructions in New York City and surrounding cities.
Recent; Mostly Isabel has been keeping to herself during the entire time, dropping her career in favor of doing nothing but enjoy her time traveling and enjoy the different concerts going around. While becoming a spokesperson for the project has been an option she has declined it several times, the quiet time suits her better right now. Knowing that she can't stay hidden from the world forever, Isabel is now coming out of her hiding to continue forward with her life.
