Music for the Masses pt. 6 and pictures from Trip.

OK, i'm board to i decided to post music and i figured i should post from when i was in NY

So for my birthday gift to myself, i decided to go to NY and see a band i really dig (link to their album below), that band is The Young Veins. They weren't the headlining band, they were the opening and they were awesome. The opening band was Rooney who were good, but not who i was into or wanted to see. Anyway, none of these pictures have me in them it's all of random stuff i saw and pretty much of the concert.

This was tasty mac and cheese. There was just a lot of it at this place called Big Daddy's that was very kitchy and electic, almost over doing it, but it was awesome and the food was nice.

Thought this sign was cool.

The semi-legendary Filmore at 17 Irving Plaza.

The First opening band was called "Black Gold" and they were good.

The Young Veins Setting up and Preforming *squee*. I was on the far right up against the barricade so a lot of these pictures are just from that perspective.

Ryan Ross

Ryan's Hands, cause he moved while i was taking the picture.

Ryan again.

Andy Soukal. Who is adorable.

Ryan and Andy. I think this is my favorite picture of the night.

Jon Walker. Who was *SUPER* nice when i talked to him, more on that later.

Nick Murry. He was nice and adorable awkward.

Ryan's back.

And this was the last picture i got before my camera died, so i didn't get any pictures of Rooney.

But the highlight of the night for me....

SIGNED SETLIST!

I waited for like an hour to get most of their autographs, i'm only missing one member (Nick White -Keyboard) cause he ducked out as soon as their set was over. But i got to talk to all of them, they were really cool and nice. They were also really surprised and flattered that i came all the way from MD to see them.Ryan was in a rush and had to go, but thanked me for coming to see them, Nick was kinda sorry that they weren't coming to Baltimore with Rooney cause if they did i would have been able to see them closer to home for me and Andy was amazed that i made the trip to see them. Jon and i talked for like 15 mins. about music, mainly The Beach Boys. I started talking about how i dug the album and how i heard all my favorite oldies bands in them and i stated listing them and while i was he jumped in and said "And The Beatles" and I was like "No", and he gave me this look like i was like the only person who got what their sound was about it and that they were trying to convey a whole bunch of bands. And then we talked about The Beach Boys album "Pet Sounds" cause i told him overall that's what the album sounded like to me and he nodded and we talked about our most loved tracks on the album. I then told him that i learned the album in 1 day and he gave me a high five like i did him a solid by liking the album, it was funny. And then i had to go and he gave me another high five and thanked me for coming and i thanked him for making awesome music and then i left. I didn't get any pictures with him cause it was more important for me to talk to them than it was to get a picture.

So yeah, that was my trip. It was fun and totally worth it. And I would so do it again.

The Young Veins- Take A Vacation! - I *love* them. Went all the way to NY to see them.

The Like - Release Me - They are really good. Like if you gave all the famous 60s girl bands intruments, i think they might sounds like this.
