(no subject)
So yes, fishing last weekend was good times. It was a little wierd only knowing one person at the place I went this time, but it was also nice meeting some new peeps.
We left around 4:30 am and stopped at Princess Auto so Ty could bug the guys about going fishing for the weekend, then we headed outta town. We started smoking weed and didn't stop until Monday. It was retarded. I was so hella stoned all weekend.
We hit this bass fishing spot just outside Kenora around 7:30 or 8ish. Ty and I never caught anythign then, but everyone else caught a couple there. After a few hours chilling there we started off for Souix Narrows and the cabin we were staying at. The cabin was pretty nice. Nothing too spectacular but it was comfortable. We didn't have a proper dock though and the boats weren't ready in the morning. But otherwise everything went rather well there. The rest of the weekend the fishing was rather bunk. Joe caught a couple fish off the dock... and Erin caught a nice sized trout. But none of us really caught anything from the boats. I caught a perch as I mentioned, and Ty caught about an inch long walleye by the fin. He later used it as bait. 8P
We saw a buncha people coming back with tonnes of trout that they caught out on the lake. That was apparently what was biting that weekend. Plus they all had crazy down riggers and these insane strings of flashy spoons to catch the fish with. At one point Joe and I were sitting on the dock fishing and these guys came in and docked at one the other docks and we were looking at the fish they caught and their rigs and joe was like "damn, that lure looks so good i almost wanna go and bite it". heheheheheh
Other than smoking and fishing, we played a hell of a lot of poker. All weekend. I lost a lot. I did have a couple good games were I was doing well, but once it came down to heads-up I lost my patience stopped playing carefully.
hehehe but yes, that was my weekend fishing. it was good times. i can't wait to go again.
other than that... not much is up. my hours got cut at panago so i'm rather happy. i've been getting so tired and stressed working all the time and it not seeming to make much of a difference. in fact it's been almost more of a burden than anything else. not only was i not getting weekends (unless i booked them off), i got raped by the government this tax season 8/ *Shakeshisfist* oh well... once a week is good for me. I do need the extra cash, but I tired of the headaches.. and that douchebag Adrian. And being so tired/burned out that by the time I'm done work at 8-9 on Fridays that I'm asleep within a couple hours.
