I know you posted this over a month ago, but I have to say "BRAVO!!!!!"
It irratates the hell out of me when narrow minded people look at mixed couples (In a mixed marriage myself) and kind of stare at you like "What they hell were they thinking?!" I'll tell ya what I was thinking! I was thinking that I fell in love with a man and that I wanted to grow old with him, have children with him, watch our children grow up and have families of their own someday and stuff like that.
It never occured to me to think about the color of his skin, his racial background or our different religions. And like your parents, I didn't come from a free thinking family. My grandma nearly had a heart attack when she learned I married a mexican instead of a good ole white boy.
Sorry if I sounded a bit too strong there but stuff like this really pisses me off. Thing is, none of us are a color, we're people! And once everyone realizes that, maybe this world will become a better place. Anyways, loved the post and hope to see ya around. :D
I agree with you and thank you for commenting. That was the main thing I was going for when I wrote that, which is why I made it viewable to everyone. I wanted feedback, regardless of whether or not it was good or bad. I wanted people to think about it. I wanted to start a revolution!
...okay, maybe that last one was going a little too far.
...oh, and you're gonna apologize about coming on a little strong after THAT post...? lol
