Hidey Ho Fun Seekers.
Why is it, when I'm not on-line or anywhere near a computer I can think of a million things to post about but as soon as I get the chance it all just goes down hill from there?
So--there are a few exciting things coming up. First off--Next week, actually one week from today I will be in NYC and I will finally get to meet the amazing
selkie63 someone I've wanted to meet for such a long time but DISTANCE ; like Brazil to the US ,kinda got in the way. I do hope
mrsbeck will be able to join us. Work out those kinks Mrs.B. You know you want to.
My cousin Mark is arriving from Ireland in August so that will make me do all those fun touristy things that I like doing anyway. So that'll be fun.
John's riding his eighth PMC (pan-mass challenge) and I'm officially volunteering at the Franklin water stop instead of sitting idly by in a beach chair on the side of the road with a sign as in the previous 7 years.
I bought tickets to the American Idol Concert in Providence RI for September. I stopped myself from buying tickets to the Worcester show as well although I know that if I'd called Debi she would have released my sqeeing inner fan-girl and told me to go for it. Right Deb??? I think the last concert I went to was KISS-dating myself much!!! lol
My current obsession with Jason Castro is just little disturbing, even by my standards lol.
And so what if Jason Castro is twenty-one; the same age as my youngest son! The fact that he is easy on the eyes (my eyes anyway-not everyone shares my opinion) is not the only thing. He plays the kind of music that I actually like to listen to. (accoustic, folky stuff) He'll put out a great CD. I think y'all should head on over to youtube and check him out. (Yes, the Bostonian did say y'all--did I mention he's from Texas? LOL) I am, after all, still a proud card-carrying member of the DOWC. Who remembers that fanforum club?
Clark and Lex have taken a bit of back seat these days although my love of all things TW will never wane. I'm nothing if not loyal to my obsessions. I'm still following a few WIP's like
roxymissrose 's East of the Sun. (but I'm only on Chap 36) and all of
danceswithgary 's stuff.
I found IDOLSLASH --who knew? And now I"m squeeing over all things Cookstro!!!!!
And I'm actually writing again too. I have a few parts written of my very first slash fic--EVER. I'm ready to post the first part but I'm having some difficulty with formatting and such so--I may be tossing out a few, "IGNORE THIS POST" posts to try it out in my own journal first before trying some of the Idolslash coms. Hopefully you'll all just bear with me and ignore. ;P
But it's so hard to ignore The Cookstro lol
I did participate in the CUSP (Castrofans United Service Project) where members of two JC related foums came together to do community service projects for a week. We logged thousands of hours throughout the country and I was feverishly (seriously hot here!!) knitting scarves for a local homeless shelter as my part. Actually ,considering going to Haiti next year with this group.(yeah, like that'll ever happen!! but a girl can dream. )
Marge is growing by leaps and bounds. She'll be 7mos old next week and currently weighs in at about 55lbs! She's still Grammy's best girl. :) The neighbor kids come to play with her daily and have to walk her with me every night. I used to hate my quiet, lonely nights--now, I'm starting to long for them occasionally.
And speaking of pounds. I'm up to--or should I say DOWN 30.5 lbs last time I checked. Down several pants sizes too. Which is great but expensive since I can't buy new stuff every weekend. Luckily belts are fairly reasonable. :)
So...let's see. I think that's it. For now.
I know I said my New Years Resolution was to post more frequently but, yeah, doesn't seem to be happening. I suppose I can make that promis again. We'll see.
In the meantime, if you're looking for me I'll be at the forums of Castrocopia or DayDreamingBoy.com. lol
Edited for the third time to add: The reason I don't post much is that it's frustrating. It never let's me post pics easily the first time and once I finish a long winded post it just deletes it so I have to do it again. Grrrrrrrr!
