The fandom post
Along with baby, I've still been quietly fannish, only it's sprinkled around different areas.
My fic reading has been mostly Kirk/Spock Star Trek reboot. Did you know there was a Kirk/Spock take on Dirty Dancing??? I think every fandom needs a dirty dancing fic. I vaguely recall there being a Jared/Jensen one? I kept thinking to myself there was a Stargate version, but then I realized that no, it was Pretty Woman, not Dirty Dancing, and it was McShep. (I've read a surprising amount of McShep for not seeing more than 2 or 3 episodes of Atlantis.) Oh, and wasn't there a Snape/Remus version?
(Give me your tired, your poor, your dirty dancing inspired fanfic?)
And I'm totally in love with Chris Pine. He is the sole reason I watched the Princess Diaries 2. I DVR'd it, so I fast forwarded to his scenes. He's such eye candy in this movie, and that's okay. That's his entire function - for example, he is randomly in an apron making a souffle for Julie Andrews and he walks around with a book and thick glasses. It's like someone picked up all the fandom cliches and put them on him. (During the scene with the bicycle I nearly busted a gut laughing so hard.)
Also via DVR I finished season 3 of Drop Dead Diva (been watching while I nurse.) OMG, I want to discuss. Anyone else watch?
I've also enjoyed these first two episodes of Supernatural, but I think my days of episode commenting are limited. I don't even watch them till Saturday since I watch Fringe with hubby on Friday night and then it's bedtime.
Speaking of Fringe - yes, totally enjoying. I love Lincoln and I'm so glad to see more of him, in either universe.
Upcoming - I have season 1 of White Collar on DVD, so now that I finished Drop Dead Diva I will attempt to watch that while nursing. It's a bit trickier since it's not as easy as the DVR (Using the PS3). Also ridiculously looking forward to the new season of Next Iron Chef.
OH, and how could I have forgotten Phillies Baseball? We went to the game on Sat - first time I've ever been to a playoff game. The energy was intense and that was the one they won, so it was awesome. I hope they can make it to the Series again.
So, yes, that's what's going on with me when baby is either asleep or latched on:)
EDIT: Oh, I forgot. Have you seen there's a John Winchester/JDM bigbang? Only 15k. *twitches* I won't be able to participate, but I'm looking forward to all the goodies:)
