Power is back...
So we did get our power back around 3? 4? yesterday. I'm not sure since by then we'd escaped to my inlaws.
When we left everything was still frozen in the freezer. Hubby peeked long enough to poke and then shut the door. (I would have told him not to if he'd asked me before he did it...) Do you guys think the stuff in there is okay?
Before we left he'd opened the fridge and pulled out the milk etc to put in a cooler with ice, since we didn't know how long the power was going to be out. But now I still have to go through and toss what wasn't in the cooler, if I can remember what he saved, since he put it all back in the fridge last night and I couldn't deal with it then.
Also due to power issues I had to cancel my appointment to talk with someone about my issues, since her office didn't have power either. I really wish we hadn't had to cancel. I'm sitting here fretting about the fridge, the baby, the laundry, etc.
Baby seems to be the most content of all of us. He went right down to sleep last night even though it was past his bedtime, and then woke up at 5, went right back and is still sleeping. He never complained/cried through the heat or the long car ride to escape it.
