Supernatural episode 4.20

Here we go guys, spoilers

Oh man, how many vessel fics were Jossed by this episode?

My thoughts in random order...

Oh look, a little girl who isn't creepy! And a wife who doesn't die! Yay Kripke for learning a lesson!

Although I don't understand why Castiel needs Jimmy's soul. When Jimmy tells him to take him instead of Claire (save the cheerleader?) why can't Castiel use his body without his soul? Yes, it's in his blood, but Ruby's using Coma Girl just fine...

Ironically, for what they do to Sam at the end, it's the most sympathetic he's been all season. He's a serious addict people. There's no 12 step program for getting off of demon juice. (Although there is a crack fic I can write...)

I wonder if they named "Jimmy" after Jim Beaver just like Bobby is named after Robert Singer.

I saw Jim's name in the credits and I kept expecting Bobby to show up before he actually did.

I called the wife being possessed from the moment Jimmy walked in the house. Poor Jimmy.

Misha just doesn't look like a Jimmy.

Whatever was done to Cas up in heaven...man the angst for the Castiel/Dean shippers...heh, when Jimmy was talking to his wife and they were nuzzling Dean looks over at them sorta pained, and you just know it's cause he's realizing he boned that body while Cas was in it...let me have my delusions people.

Because at the end there? When Sam drank the blood? And then it looked for just a sec like he was going to use his powers on Dean but then SAVES JIMMY's WIFE'S LIFE by using his powers on the demon holding her? Dean went COLD. It's scary because I never thought Dean would give up on Sam, ever.

Has he though? Or is this detox program his last shot?

And how can Sam be evil when his powers are working for good???

Oh, when Sam convinces Jimmy to leave his family behind -- echoes what he said last week -- but did no one think to tell them how to protect themselves? They'd still be targets to draw Jimmy out. At least tell them about salt, iron and exorcisms! I thought they'd send the family to Bobby to learn that stuff. Get an amulet against possession or something.

Maybe it's to show at this point how Sam and Dean are NOT thinking clearly. They are seeing what's in front of them, but with blinders on.

And what Cas says to Dean? "I don't serve yours" huh. What WAS he going to tell Dean then? Something to save Sam? Would that be serving Dean's will over Heaven's? Was Cas brainwashed?

*wants angsty make up sex fic*

Man, the next two episodes have GOT to be epic.

At the NJ creation con Jim said something he got in the script for the final episode made him go 'Oh, that's juicey' and it possibly relates to John Winchester. I am looking forward to that:)

I'm sure I forgot to mention something. Discuss people. I have drabbles to write...
