Actually, yes, he might have climbed out. His sister can do that, and since he spent some time at my in-laws who have his sister last week, he might have learned how from her. *sighs* It might be time for some new fencing.
And *owie* with the knee stuff. I'll just keep icing and resting it for now. Hopefully it'll grow back soon if that's the case! I'm giving it a week or so before I find a doc.
Oh yeah:) I'm still bending it carefully. Just not putting weight on it when I go up and down the stairs. I have it wrapped in an ace bandage for some extra support when I walk. I'm just giving it a day or two for the inflammation to go down, but gotta keep moving...
I have petallar tendinitis, which basically means i"m wearing out the cartilidge in my knee. It's genetic, as the kneecap is in a track (like slot cars!) and there's cartiledge in the groove to help it go smoothly along the track. Well, my track is curved, which is pretty normal for women actually, and I'm flatfooted so my feet point away from each other when I stand straight. So all that combines so that my kneecap is wearing out all that cartlidge int he groove. Doc said eventually I'll need new funky titanium knees but for now, I'm just to wear a brace, which helps keep the knee in alignment.
But yeah, going up and down stairs, every once in a while I go "OW! That was my knee!"
You know, my grandmother had a problem with one of her knees. She also had arthritis, so I guess I thought it was part of that. Man, I wonder if it is something genetic. What kind of doc do you see about this?
I'll keep bracing it for now, I just don't want to stop the activity, I enjoy our walks and I could use the exercise!
I've seen my puppy's sister do it. She's a tiny thing though. I wish we had it on video, it's unbelievable, especially when she gets to the top of the fence and perches like a bird before she flings herself off.
And we found the place where he got out, part of the fence in the front came loose and he was able to slip under it. So alas, my dog isn't that acrobatic! (and hubby blocked up this part with bricks and lumber. It's a bit of overkill, but hopefully should keep the dog safely inside.)
